Modern-day culture and Christianity

There have been significant changes in how American-born Christians view modern culture.  In fact, over the past few decades, there has been a mentality paradigm leading to a view of the church as an outdated organism. The millennial generation has lost a connection to the church and usually the term Christian model and its practices as obsolete. Such a shift in ideological view towards Christianity has deep roots to cultural phenomenon (Klass, 2018). Such a phenomenon has been associated with environmental influences and societal osmosis. The secular society has affected to a higher level the religious fabric inherent in America. 

American born Christians tend to view the modern-day culture in a positive perspective. For instance, the contemporary endorsement of homosexual unions among some ancient protestant sects and churches of Christ shows how Christians have empathized with the modern culture. Several changes have occurred in the church over recent years. Christians are currently embracing denominational blending. The modern day for a Christian has been welcomed by radical calls for concerned high powered people who have successfully attempted to blend different denominations (Klass, 2018). Other changes that have been experienced in the modern church include subject faith, feminism in the church, gimmick-based evangelism, contemporary worship, and marriage erosion. 

Importance of the relationship between religion and culture

Ancient sustainability and knowledge take into consideration a necessity of indigenous spirituality and values especially in providing a direction for sustainable living. Religious values and principles are usually anchored on spiritual harmony (Corrigan, & Hudson, 2018). Religion, therefore, helps in sustaining the natural environment and defining spiritual identities. Presumably, proto-religious like paganism, animism, and shamanism came into existence to eradicate the hostility which was inherent the world (Corrigan, & Hudson, 2018). Organized religion has been used by man to drive forward their cultural agenda. During ancient times, organized religion was used to control almost everything from property, agriculture, family to crimes. For centuries, religion has proved to be a very important aspect of culture.
