Reflection Project

My Strengths

My project was based on Integration of technology into the learning environment. The project took into consideration the process of the project plan, needs analysis, instructional design based on learner analysis and evaluation analysis. There are two areas in which I performed excellently. They include project evaluation analysis and learner analysis. I was able to articulate comprehensively these two areas by elucidating leaner’s abilities, and motivation as well as providing an appropriate evaluation approach that suits well with my project. However, there are two areas in which I believe, and I need a room for improvement. These include information gap analysis and instructional and delivery strategies. 

Review of Instructional Design Organizations

Online Learning Consortium (OLC) 

Online learning consortium is a digital and online platform that has been developed to offer higher education services. The platform boasts of more than 6 million students who are currently undertaking various online courses. OLC is dedicated to providing high-quality digital learning. It strives to establish strong collaboration among online learning professionals, administrators, and educators with the purpose of addressing challenges and opportunities for education

The United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA)

Initially, USDLA was established as a nonprofit organization. It offers distance learning services related to development, praxis, and research across all sectors of training, education, and communication. It addresses learning communities such as military, pre-K-12, continuing education, telehealth, corporate training, and higher education. Besides, USDLA focuses on both international and national technology-based distance learning. 

The eLearning Guild 

The eLearning Guild is the most trusted source of networking, community, and information for eLearning professionals. It produces online and blended training courses, white papers, online events, conferences, eBooks, learning solutions and research report. The site is suitable for every academic, corporate and government environment.  Its goal is to equip eLearning professionals with expertise, ideologies, and knowledge with the aim of developing respective industries and making learning experiences better. 

I am most inclined to join the eLearning guild due to its reputation and ability to handle a wide range of membership. The organization provides various essential course materials and online classes that are essential for career and development. Besides, its package of services is designed for immediate use.

Recommended Changes

I would recommend a change in evaluation type when revising the instructional design for stakeholders. Evaluation entails a precise determination of worth, significance, and worth of training or learning process concerning certain pre-set standards. If the previously used approach is not effective enough to demonstrate the worthiness of the project it would be essential to initiate changes. 

I will consider engaging stakeholders in the process of attaining an effective evaluation process. This is a fundamental change because it will assist in identifying potential risks and visibility of the project. The change will ascertain that stakeholder engagement and communication provides a clear and detailed description of the project. 

Another essential change is the consideration of natural disasters and climate change related risks. These are occasions that can partially or completely destroy the infrastructure set aside specifically for the project. There will be downscaled models which use macro information to provide accurate climate outcomes.
