Tantra Bensko wrote a book that has the reader hooked from the beginning. Her writing style, the arrangement of the plot and use of literary stylistic devices are the things which made reading this book worthwhile. I loved Miriam’s and Colin’s friendship from the beginning. Their conversations, the jokes they shared and the good feeling between them made me enjoy their little chats.
The storyline gradually moved from that simple story to a psychological thriller. The suspense, drama, action, and flow of the story were thrilling for me. The mention of Moldavite, the meteoric stone, and its significance was one of the best parts of the book. How they viewed the stone which fell from heaven as a big deal was amazing. Dune and Susan were my favorite couple. I loved how Susan expressed herself, and how she did not shy away from showing her love. I enjoyed reading about the troupe. Their being heckled did not make me dislike what had happened.
Reading this book was such a great experience, that I forgot to attend to other tasks. The author is able to steal the reader’s attention with the details, the events and the twists in the book. “Encore: A Contemporary Love Story of Hypnotic Abduction” is not your average romance novel. The characters are uniquely portrayed and their roles are incredible.
Tantra Bensko is a first-rate author who understands what the reader wants. In between the pages, I could feel the enthusiasm the author had when writing the book. One easily falls in love with her language and yearns to read more of her work. The ending of the book did not catch me by surprise. I enjoyed reading through each page and loved the final chapter. Love, fear, mystery, friendship and the family unit are some of the themes the author illustrated in the book. The switching of Miriam and Susan was another fun moment in the book.
Readers who like drowning in stories which majorly focus on modern gothic romance will love this book. I enjoyed exploring the characters’ world and virtually living with them. There is no single part of the book that can be described as bland. Everything the writer penned down is exciting. One not only falls in love with the character but also learns lessons from the mistakes they made.
I rate the book with 4 out of 5 stars because I was entertained throughout my reading. The book is intriguing, fascinating and enjoyable for any reader. In your reading, you will encounter characters you wish to meet in real life and just spend a few minutes with them. Colin was that character for me. The book is easy to read and one grasps the context immediately. You do not need to go back and forth trying to connect the stories as the author wrote passionately.
