Course : INSY-731: Information Compliance and Risk
This course will integrate best practice in risk compliance with existing enterprise systems, assess
the risk potential for new and existing systems, and create compliance policies and procedures
consistent with regulatory requirements and best practice. Students will incorporate management
principles to plan, implement, and audit operating system security in a networked environment and
critique current practices to achieve organizational information systems goals and
objectives.
Students will also evaluate compliance and risk management systems for alignment with the
Virtual
Business Model.

Course – UNV-701: Doctoral CPT Seminar/Externship
The Doctoral Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Seminar/Externship course provides students
with an opportunity to gain practical work experience while linking those experiences to graduate
level course outcomes. Students will describe a process change, procedural innovation, or another
enhancement proposed to their employer based on learning in the course curriculum. Students must
work at least 21 hours per week in a paid or non-paid position, which may include: current
employment in a full or part-time position, participation in job shadowing or an internship and
maintain a 3.0 GPA. Students may only enroll in one section of this course per term. Course may
be repeated unlimited times, and must be taken concurrently with courses related to program
requirements.

Course – BADM-700: The Craft of Academic Writing for Business
Course Description
In this course, students will learn the craft of effective writing for academic research, industry and
practitioner journals. Students will analyze issues and problems related to specific industries,
critique problem statements supported by relevant academic research, and develop methods for
critiquing and organizing research related to problem-based learning. Students will integrate the
virtuous business model into their research, writing, and reporting as they demonstrate academic
and practitioner level writing skills.

Course Description
Students in this course will recognize current and emerging disruptive technologies and their
potential to impact social conditions and the global economy; compare and contrast current and
emerging technologies and their implications for social ethics and the global workplace; and
evaluate emerging technology as potential contributors to organizational success. Students will
define the unique characteristics of and differences between disruptive technologies and their
impacts, and assess emerging technology from the perspective of the Virtuous Business Model.

Course Description
This course starts the second year of the DBA program. In this course, students will develop

application in the global workplace, and evaluate potential research methodologies for alignment
with research goals. This is a required onsite course.

within the economic analysis. Students will critique the economic decision-making process of

develop a personal operative research paradigm to guide future research.

Model with their personal and professional behavior and beliefs.
