Comparison between TENX and Soleno Therapeutics Inc 

Plans to invest $100,000 dollars require a thorough evaluation of several stocks to determine the best stock with the lowest risk and highest return. After several evaluations, I identified two stocks in New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). One of the reasons of choosing stocks in NYSE is because it is the largest equities-based exchange in the world, in regard to the total market capitalization of its listed securities (Gan & Djauhar, 2015). Investing in the stock markets is particularly essential as medical marijuana gets legalized in 50 states, where the average American savings is likely to hike following the expected 4.067% industry boom.

One of the potential stocks in NYSE is TENX therapeutics. The reason for choosing this stock is due to its listing in NYSE as one of the gainers in the stock market. TENAX therapeutics, which uses TENX as its symbol in stock marketing sells its shares at 2.09 with a positive percentage change of 22.01% and a volume of 2,922,500. The other reason for choosing this stock is due to the price of shares, which is affordable. With $100,000 dollars, it is possible to buy 47,846 shares. TENAX Therapeutics, Inc. based in the United States specializes in pharmaceuticals where it not only develops but also commercializes a portfolio of products for the critical care market.

The other reason why TENX would be a great investment is due to its capital stock, as it has an outstanding share of 1.41M and a public float of 1.16M. Another critical aspect is the 52 weeks high and low range, which is 1.03 – 11.92. TENX has a 5-day performance of 5.03%, 1 month 67.20%, 3 months 75.63%, YTD of 72.73% and 1 year of -72.82%. However, according to analyst estimates, TENX is not the best stock to invest the  $100,000 dollars where although they are encouraging investors to buy, predictions indicate that both high and low estimates for this fiscal and next fiscal year will be negative. The price-earnings ration P/E of TENX is EPS dilute of negative 6.27 while the price per share is $2.25 giving a P/E of -2.79. 

In comparison, the $100,000 dollars can also be invested in Soleno Therapeutics Inc. (SLNO), which has a volume of 80.115,600 and has an official closing price of 2.680. In comparison to TENX, these two stocks comparatively rhyme in terms of closing price. Additionally, unlike TENX, which had negatives in its performance, the SLNO performance is promising, where it has a YTD of +40.31. 1 month +58.58%, 3 months +66.46%, 6 months +37.44% and 1 year of +47025%. Comparatively, the 52 weeks high and low range is 1.110 – 5.070, which is lower than that of TENX with 1.03 – 11.92. In this, TENX would be more attractive based on the 52 weeks of highs; the high volumes in the company places it in a better position than TENX.

The second factor why $100,000 dollars will generate more returns in SLNO than in TENX is the fact that the percentage change of TENX is +22.01%, which is half that of SLNO at +49.63%. Therefore, although both stocks will yield, the better stock to invest in this case would be SLNO. On the aspect of outstanding shares, SLNO has far more outstanding shares at 19,768,375 in comparison to TENX with 1,453,676. The P/E of SLNO will be calculated by a basic of -1.75 and a price of 2.68 providing a PE of -1.53, which is lower than that of TENX. In conclusion, although both stocks are placed by the New York Stock Exchange as gainers, I believe the $100,000 dollars will yield more based on the performance between TENX and SLNO as there are more uncertainties in TENX than in SLO based on their performance
