Challenges Faced By Calvary Scout

The Cavalry Scouts in the United States military play a very crucial role in any type of offense. They act as the commander’s ears and eyes on the battlefield as they are the people mandated to go into the enemy’s territory to gather information that can be used against the enemy. This information is then passed on to the army commander who uses it to his/her advantage (Vuic, 2018). When performing their duties, Cavalry Scouts face many challenges, which keep on changing with time. 

One major challenge faced by Cavalry Scout of today that was not present in the past is technology. Most of the enemies today use advanced technological devices to conduct their operations, making it hard for Cavalry Scout to intercept any information that may be used by their commanders in preparing for an attack.   

Tracking how the enemy moves their money from one region to another to finance their attack is another major challenge (Vuic, 2018). So many methods can be used to transfer huge amounts of money internationally and this has made it possible for the enemies to finance their operations anywhere in the world.  The banking system across the world is what makes this possible and it is very hard for Calvary Scouts and other institutions to monitor each banking transaction across the world (Bellesiles, 2015).

Different political alignments between different actors such as nations, states, and powerful political and military organizations across the world can sometimes act as a major challenge for Calvary Scouts and their operations. In countries like North Korea for example, it is very hard for Cavalry Scouts to conduct any kind of operations (Vuic, 2018). Legal institutions such as the United Nations may sometimes be against any type of military action in a certain region and this can cause major challenges to the Cavalry Scouts when performing their duties efficiently (Bellesiles, 2015).
