The Future of Child of Hope Organization

This is my ideal organization that I envision myself leading one of these fine days. This organization will be dealing with four sets of age brackets of children. The first set is between 0-5 years, the second set is 6-9years, the third is between 10- 14 years, and the fourth set is 15-18 years. This will be a complete organization, providing education and care to all those children without any discrimination; aiming to train them to be one race though from different races. The admission shall allow both genders to attend and benefit from our services. The main aim is to put a smile on every child.

The organization shall operate one major program by the name; of care for the disabled but supplemented by educational programs. The major criteria of admission is the evidence of a disability in the life of a child. For the children’s comfort, enrollment shall be reviewed yearly and allow in children who will not leave the available resources strained and over exhausted. The facility will be meant to host a total number of 500 children with disability. Those children shall be admitted into different schools based on the nature of their disability.

This organization is at the conceptualization stage. It has not yet been birthed to the world. It may require me some specific steps to achieve. One of those include; formalizing the strategic plan which may include resources required for the same. Bringing different people on board to share the vision with so as to test the viability. After all these, we must take a step by identifying the exact location and strategizing to implement it in phases. These steps are related to my future goals.

Early Childhood Programs

Enrollment of the staff in at childcare unit should be done according to the enrollment of the children in the organization. This is very important as it ensures an appropriate proportion of staff for children enrolled in the program and is neither understaffing nor understaffing. It will be important to perform a headcount for the age group during enrollment to ascertain the number of children and available staff. It is important to identify the peak time for enrollment so that there is a plan to have an enrollment of staff to meet the staffing needs. The organization will recruit more staff during peak periods to ensure they offer services to children as more children will be available. The ratio of children per staff member will vary depending on the age of the children providing child care.

The staff wages will be determined by factors such as the number of children the staff handles at a single hour. The higher the number of children handled, the higher the hourly wage. The disability varies from child to child and may require a certain level of care. Hourly wages of the staff will be determined depending on the nature of the disability.

I plan to use NAEYC standards in the program. Using NAEYC standards will allow us to assess children’s progress under the program. The staff will be able to observe children learning progress depending on their age. The child’s family will share information about their child’s progress in the development of cognitive skills, both physical and socio-emotional skills. Adopting the NAEYC standards helps to have children under the program become all around. It is, therefore, important to adopt NAEYC as opposed to governmental standards, which do not have a specific assessment plan for the child.
